In-person Interpretation

Over the Phone Interpretation (OPI):
CommGap offers phone interpreter services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a toll-free system, our client portal, and the CommGap App. We work with interpreters across the United States (and globally depending on client needs), which allows us to provide over 140 languages on-demand, within seconds. Accessing a telephone interpreter is simple and fast, and your call will always be secure.
Video Remote Interpretation (VRI):
As interpretation needs continue to evolve, so does CommGap. VRI is one of the fastest growing sectors because it combines the personal touch of an on-site interpreter with the convenience of phone interpretation. Use our web or mobile app to meet with a video interpreter on-demand, anywhere in the world. If you prefer to host your own virtual meeting, CommGap can accommodate all platforms including Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Doxy.
Language Testing:
Language testing is critical to ensuring your employees have the correct skills needed to communicate in another language. CommGap helped pioneer and standardize language testing in the State of Utah. Developed in coordination with the Utah State Office of Education in 2001, our customizable spoken Language Assessment evaluates proficiency of listening comprehension as well as oral abilities. The assessment is catered to your needs. Our skilled and experienced test proctors score individuals on the following:

Are you looking for a rewarding way to use your bilingual skills? CommGap, in partnership with Global 1 Voice, offers Bridging the Gap (BTG) – a nationally recognized medical interpreter training program. The 64-hour training program covers topics such as:

Why Bridging the Gap?
Bridging the Gap is a well-established medical interpreter training program in the United States. It helps interpreters meet the prerequisites to become nationally certified through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). Our qualified instructors have years of experience in the interpreting world and in teaching BTG both in person and virtually. Our course is designed to accommodate busy schedules—classes are primarily scheduled in evenings and on weekends.
